We all want a better life

With six classes and a managers position at work I realized I hardly have any free time to go out. Sometimes I have to remind myself to breath. But I found a new hobby to keep me sane - sushi and Asahi nights^^. Very expensive hobby I know, but I need something like this to keep my spirit up.

Today is Sunday, and like always everything is just a little quieter. A day for rest, a day for study, or a day to be depressed because tomorrow is Monday. Unfortunately for me, its a mixture of the last two. I won't be able to go out as much, but I would still like to post in this thing, whatever it is. So I guess it'll be randomness and the occasional outing until I'm be able to use this blog for its planned purpose. (big plans big plans)

---

Anyways, what would I rather be doing to combat the boredom and dread of Sunday? Since I just turned 21, I'm finally able to go to DEEP. On their website they define the event as, "..nothing short of a phenomenon in the dance music scene in Los Angeles...and beyond. It is a Sunday night place of worship for house music that brings its many revelers together." I'm not sure if it really is that promising, as it seems like its just part of the LA club scene. I'm sure there are better low key events, but I haven't looked into it much. All I know is the Vanguard is pretty nice and there have been a few Dj's at DEEP that I've wanted to see.

House music in the right setting, with a proper dj, and around the positive people this genre of music brings together, can have a lasting effect on you. Give it a chance

Vegas 9/12 - 9/14

I've been to Las Vegas 10+ times, but on this trip I finally wasn't restricted to just the arcade. Everyone knows what Vegas is about - money, alcohol, sex, and rock n' roll maybe, I dunno I didnt hear any. Its a giant fantasy, an oasis in the desert, a hedonistic wonderland. Not good, very sinful. I don't even particularly like money and I don't have any of it to gamble. I'm a reserved kid, I like music and literature, art and culture, deep conversations and memorable encounters. A city like Vegas isn't for me.

Oh but that last sentence is a lie. Vegas is fucking fun and I love it. It is for me, buy me a jet and fly me there on the weekends. If you come with me I'll buy you a drink or four.

I really didn't take many pictures. I didn't feel like walking around with camera in hand..

Strategy: Win 40 or so dollars at the 25 cent Wheel of Fortune slot machines, take your winnings to the $5 Wheel of Fortune slot machine, push button and receive..
